Dedham Square Circle Making Progress in “Engineering the Future” Campaign

Thanks to a very generous donation from Needham Bank, a new partner in the Square, the Dedham Square Circle has raised over $10,000 for our "Engineering the Future" campaign.

Engineering the Future is geared specifically toward raising the money necessary to jump start the much-needed infrastructure improvements in the Square.  We are halfway to our goal of raising $20,000 to pay for engineering work necessary before the town of Dedham can apply for a downtown improvement grant for over a million dollars.

“Our deepest thanks to Needham Bank, a new partner in the Square, which has committed $3,500 to this effort,” shared Sarah MacDonald, DSC Executive Director. “This pushed us past the 50% mark toward our goal.”

Also donors at the Foundation level ($1,000+) include Rob Naser of Garnet Realty Trust, Paul McMurtry of Dedham Community Theatre, Frank Santo of Isabella, Peter Levangie, owner of Wardles Pharmacy, Bob Schortmann from Schortmann Insurance Agency, and Giorgio Petruzziello of Petruzziello Place.

The Dedham Square Circle thanks individual donors Frances Pearsall, Scott Heald, Donald & Marilyn Gosselin, Martha and Paul Podolski, Daniel Brown, Ronda Zakocs,  and business donors The Blue Bunny for their support.

“The Square Circle is asking everyone to step up to this challenge—let's get to $20,000 by May 30th!” said Peter H. Reynolds, co-founder of the hybrid civic-merchant group.

Donations can be sent to: The Dedham Square Circle, P.O. Box 593, Dedham Square, MA   02027. Please make checks payable to the Dedham Square Circle, but please note "Engineering the Future" in the memo line.
