Dedham Square's Answer to High Gas Prices

Peter H. Reynolds, president of the Dedham Square Circle, takes the new Dedham Square Buggy out for a holiday spin. Teja Arboleda  and Ukumbwa Sauti enjoy their ride through the festive streets of Dedham Square.  The Dedham Square Circle will begin free rides for those in the Square beginning in the spring.

"We wanted folks at the court house to be able to zip into the Square -- and  for folks who shop at Maribu to quickly get to Cheeky Diva or the Dedham Exchange," said Reynolds. "And it's another way to add excitement to our Square.  People love this. Many veterans who served in Asia have commented that it reminds them of the rickshaws they saw during their service."

For others the buggy just makes them smile and perhaps conjures up images of days gone by. Simpler days that are perhaps not so far away if you wander into historic Dedham Square.
