It Started With An Idea

The Dedham Farmers Market was founded in 2008 by Dedham residents Louise Reohr and Adina Astor who approached the Dedham Square Circle with an interest in organizing a local market.  As a farmers market had long been on the DSC's list of "101 Great Ideas to Improve the Square", we were thrilled to have these two amazing women step up to the plate and take this project on.  After months of reseraching local farms, recruiting vendors and creating a business plan, this dynamic duo set an opening date of July 2008 for the inaugural market.
